There’s something that resonates with me so deeply during a rainy day. Hearing the light static sound of water drops hitting the house and seeing the muted light coming in through the windows as you orient yourself to this new, quieter world. Paradoxically loving the beautiful sounds that come with it. Everything seems to move slower; a hushed, introspective feeling permeates the atmosphere.

I can almost feel the gratitude of the plants when I step outside. Nurturing, cleansing, and a balance of trust for what is needed. I think of the trees, and how they don’t move, but they still receive exactly what they need to grow. I notice how it feels in my body. It’s like a soft, inner warmth spreading from my heart and solar plexus. It almost swirls around and sinks into my belly. I have always felt that I, too, am cleansed and renewed by the rain. I feel at home with the plants in their gratitude. Is this what trust feels like? To know that I will also be provided for, even when I am feeling stuck? To know there is something beautiful in all the different types of weather, even my own emotional or mental storms?

I think it feels like home. A deep connection. Somehow separate and yet a part of everything. I feel happy to be weaving my own thread through the tapestry of fate today, dancing to the sound of my heartbeat and flowing with the rain.
